This individual, one on one, 3 day hands-on clinical skills training opportunity is open to RNs, Advanced Practice Nurses, Physician Assistants, and Physicians working at Tribal or IHS facilities who have already completed a 40 hour Pediatric Sexual Assault Examiner classroom course. As this is a one-on-one, hands-on training opportunity, limited slots are available. Dates are available through August 2017 at Our Kids in Nashville TN or Driscoll Children's Hospital in Corpus Christi TX.

Training is intended for RN's, Advanced Practice Nurses, Physician Assistants and Physicians working at Tribal or IHS facilities who have already completed the 40 hour Pediatric Sexual Assault Examiner classroom course.  

Target Audience:  This activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of nurses and physicians involved in the treatment and care of pediatric patients who have been victims of sexual abuse/assault.

Physician Accreditation Statement: This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of Postgraduate Institute for Medicine and the International Association of Forensic Nurses. The Postgraduate Institute for Medicine is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Physician Credit Designation: The Postgraduate Institute for Medicine designates this live activity for 24 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Nursing Continuing Education Accreditation Statement: The International Association of Forensic Nurses is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

Nursing Credit Designation: The International Association of Forensic Nurses designates this live activity for 24 Nursing CE Credits.
