Alaska Adult Clinical Training - March 13-14, 2017

Participants will develop and enhance their clinical practice skills in the care of adult/adolescent victims of sexual assault. This training will simulate the patient care setting and include hands-on activities, such as forensic photography of genital and non-genital trauma and simulated patient experiences using live models.

Training is intended for RN's, Advanced Practice Nurses, Physician Assistants and Physicians  who have already completed the 40 hour Adult/Adolescent Sexual Assault Examiner classroom course and are serving American Indian/Alaska Native patients.

Target Audience:  This activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of nurses and physicians involved in the treatment and care of adult/adolescent patients who have been victims of sexual abuse/assault.

Physician Accreditation Statement: This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of Postgraduate Institute for Medicine and the International Association of Forensic Nurses. The Postgraduate Institute for Medicine is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
