Web-Based Intimate Partner Violence Examiner Course
Registered nurses, advanced practice nurses, physicians, and physician assistants serving American Indian/Alaska Native patients who have already completed a 40-hour Adult/Adolescent Sexual Assault Examiner Course are invited to learn the essential skills and knowledge to appropriately care for adult and adolescent patients who have experienced intimate partner violence.

Registration is free to providers from IHS, Tribal, and Urban Indian health care facilities. Providers from referral facilities that serve American Indian or Alaska Native victims of sexual abuse are also eligible to attend at no cost.
This is a 24-hour, self paced online course. Once it begins, you may view the course at any time of the day or night.

Professional Requirements: You must hold an active, unrestricted license as an RN, Advanced Practice RN, MD, DO, or PA to take this course. This course is intended for practitioners who will be performing hands-on Medical Forensic Exams.

Target Audience: This activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of nurses and physicians involved in the treatment and care of patients who have been victims of intimate partner violence.
