Web-Based Sexual Assault Examiner Course
Registered nurses, advanced practice nurses, physicians, and physician assistants serving American Indian/Alaska Native patients are invited to learn the elements of conducting comprehensive medical forensic examinations in cases involving sexual assault.

Registration is free to providers from IHS, Tribal, and Urban Indian health care facilities. Providers from referral facilities that serve American Indian or Alaska Native victims of sexual abuse are also eligible to attend at no cost.
This is a 40-hour, self paced online course. Once it begins, you may view the course at any time of the day or night.

Professional Requirements: You must hold an active, unrestricted license as an RN, Advanced Practice RN, MD, DO, or PA to take this course. This course is intended for practitioners who will be performing hands-on Medical Forensic Exams.
System Requirements: Desktop or Laptop Computer with Adobe Flash enabled and updated. Check your Flash here. You will also need access to YouTube and a PDF viewer like Adobe Reader. High Speed Internet is highly recommended. These courses are not optimized for viewing on your Tablet/iPad/Phone.
Target Audience: This activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of nurses and physicians involved in the treatment and care of patients who have been victims of sexual assault.
