Participants will develop and enhance their clinical practice skills in the care of adult/adolescent victims of sexual assault. This training will simulate the patient care setting and include hands-on activities, such as forensic photography of genital and non-genital trauma and simulated patient experiences using live models.

Training is intended for RN's, Advanced Practice Nurses, Physician Assistants and Physicians  who have already completed the 40 hour Adult/Adolescent Sexual Assault Examiner classroom course and are serving American Indian/Alaska Native patients.

Target Audience:  This activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of nurses and physicians involved in the treatment and care of adult/adolescent patients who have been victims of sexual abuse/assault.

Nursing Continuing Education Accreditation Statement: The International Association of Forensic Nurses is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
